‘Jøken’ is an alias of Korneel Jeuken (1975).  Jøken extracts objects from mundane contexts Inspired by urban and comic art, Jøken draws his subjects from life as a father and regular guy moving through the streets, nature, and the internet. In the past period of a few years, he started a new series of comic art paintings. For these works he decided to be more intuitive and use his skills as a painter as well as a cartoonist and let humor and absurdism flow onto the materials. He took foodpackages, wrappingpaper and even canvas to paint on. He loves making these pieces and extensively work on their compositions and colours untill they're perfect.”
